S4E30: NFL Trade Deadline, Top 3 NFL Rookies (so far), CFB Spoiler Teams and Guest Jacob Camenker11/4/2022
On today's episode: NFL news and trades, 3 players that could get traded before the NFL trade deadline, my top 3 NFL rookies (so far), 3 college football teams that could play the role of spoiler, NFL Week 7 "Game Ball" and CFB Week 8 "Helmet Sticker", plus guest Jacob Camenker (@JacobCamenker) from The Sporting News and "WalterFootball NFL Picks" podcast is on to preview the 3 biggest NFL games in Week 8 and make betting picks for each one!
Today's Guest Jacob Camenker Jacob covers the NFL for The Sporting News and is the co-host of the "Walter Football NFL Picks" podcast Here are the questions we asked Jacob: • Like I said in your intro, you cover the NFL for The Sporting News but you also cover the games from the sports betting side of things with your podcast, thought it would be fun to preview 3 of the biggest NFL games in week 8, and make betting picks for each one as well, let's start with a game that if someone told me before the season started would be a one of the biggest games in week 8 I would've had a hard time believing it, Giants/Seahawks in Seattle. Giants have been a big surprise team at 6-1 , they've won 4 straight, while the Seahawks have won 3 of their last 4 games including an impressive win over the Chargers last week. What are some key matchups we should be watching in this game? • These next 2 games are in prime time, 1st is Thursday Night Football, Ravens taking on the Buccaneers in Tampa. After a 2-0 start the Bucs have lost 4 of their last 5 games, the offense is struggling to move the ball especially on the ground and could have 4 starters out for this one, the Ravens have been literally up and down all year, but we're able to squeeze by the Browns last week. They could also be without some key players including TE Mark Andrews and DE Calais Campbell. The Ravens feel like a team that should be better than their record after blowing multiple 2nd half leads this year, What are your thoughts on this game? • last game I want to look at here is Sunday Night Football that features two teams that were viewed as 1 of the favorites in their conferences to start the year, but are heading in opposite directions. The Packers have lost 3 straight after starting the year 3-1, while the Bills have won 3 straight and look every bit like a Super Bowl contender. Aaron Rodgers told the media after last week's loss to Washington quote: "this could be the best thing for us" when he was asked about playing the Bills. Buffalo is a big favorite in this one Jacob, how can the Packers shock everyone and pull off an upset here?
